Your worst enemy is thinking that you don’t matter, that there is nothing you can do that makes a difference. This thought shuts off your mind and suffocates your soul. Thinking your life doesn’t have meaning or that you don’t mean anything is when something begins to die in you. Here is the truth. Everything you do matter. Everything you cause to happen matters. Everything you are matters. Yes, you matter!
In these days of great economic depression, so many have lost hope in the country and in their ability.
Jobs are been lost daily, and faint hearted individual are committing suicide!
It may seem gloomy and depressing, but it’s not yet over.
There is always a way out to every problem that confront man.
I have outlined some workable strategies which can bring result to the average individual in the midst of the gloom we have found ourselves.
1. Self esteem – know that you matter.
2. Make a difference – find where you can make a contribution. The best way to help self
is to help another.
3. Laughter – learn to laugh. Five minutes of laughter a day easily adds five years to your
life.
4. Create a screen saver saying: “This too shall pass.”
5. Self insight – understand your patterns, energy cycles, psychology and what helps you
move to action.
6. Growth – what can you now learn? What new skills can you acquire?
7. Adventure – what are some things you always wanted to do or visit but never found the
time or never given yourself permission to explore?
8. Discipline – develop practices and rituals to help you engage in specific activities
needed to progress towards your goals.
9. Living on purpose - have a broader context for your journey. What are you here for?
What lessons are you here to learn? How are you making this world a better place?
10. Father small successes every day. Call them over. Make them important. Move to win
your next new success.
Time is the ultimate scarcity for anyone and during these tough times it is easy to get carried away and spend time mourning over things we don't have control of - leading to NOT becoming productive to ourselves, our community and our Nation.
